»Melanie Klein as an analyst of adolescents : III. The case of Willy «

»After the study of the case of Felix «, which opens up the concepts of internal objects and unconscious fantasies, and the case of « Ilse «, centered on Kleinian conceptions of female sexual identity, the author explores the material provided by the case of « Willy « (aged fourteen). In this analysis Klein illustrates and conceptualizes, as she did for Felix and Ilse, how revisiting the early Œdipus complex is, in adolescence, an indispensable preamble to the in joint integrating development of psychical bisexuality and « psychical puberty «. Klein articulates this work with the concepts of the feminine phase common to both sexes, of combined parents, and of male homosexuality.»
